Threeband Slug

Ambigolimax cf. valentianus

ThreebandSlug.jpg

Threeband slugs are a common introduced species on campus. They are easily distinguished by two or three dark stripes running lengthwise down their brown bodies. Both the threeband garden slug (A. valentianus) and the Balkan threeband slug (A. nyctelius) have been introduced all over the world, but only the former has been found in Santa Barbara. However, dissection is needed to tell the species apart.
