Small Pointed Snail

Cochlicella barbara

SmallPointedSnail.jpg

This small snail is under half an inch long, but is easily recognized by its conical shape. A species introduced from the Mediterranean region, this snail can be found in heavily watered landscaping (such as in front of Winter Hall). It probably arrived in Santa Barbara in the last 15 years.
