Orange-crowned warbler
Vermivora celata
The orange-crowned warblers sing a rapid ascending and then descending scale from high in the oaks along the campus trail. If you see an olive-yellow little bird with a white eye-line flitting among the shrubs, chances are it is an orange-crowned warbler.
