Allen's Hummingbird

These spectacular orange-and-green hummingbirds are a little smaller than the common Anna’s hummingbird, but just as feisty.  Look for them defending their flower-filled territories in front of the Westmont bookstore, or wherever nectar-bearing flowers are abundant.
